A Bit About Me

     Joe was born in New York 1965 and enlisted in the US Army as a Combat Engineer in 1984 under a 2 year enlistment. He spent his entire enlistment during the Cold War on the front lines in Western Germany. After getting out he worked at Rikers Island as a Correction Officer when he met his wife Mattia. They have 4 children, all of whom are public servants.

     In 1998, while the children were still pre teenage years Joe moved the family to Virginia. He continued in Corrections for 21 years, retired and took on a role in Homeland Security.

     In Sept 2022 his youngest son, Justin, was involved in a life changing accident which has led him to be more involved in non profits which not only help US Veterans, but Law Enforcement, firefighters, first responders and their caregivers.
